We do not offer traditional production floor tours, but guests can sign up for our 30-minute guided Cocktail Classes or self-paced Spirits Tasting experiences. These interactive sessions allow you to get a sampling of the distilling process while learning about Savannah’s rich drinking culture and the history behind our spirits.
The Old Savannah Distillery is a multi-venue destination that offers immersive culinary and cocktail experiences rather than being a traditional production-only distillery. While we do not distill spirits on-site, we function as a “must-do” experience where guests can eat, drink, and learn through storytelling and hands-on classes.
Our spirits are produced by Georgia-Florida Distilling using our Savannah inspired custom recipes. All recipes are created by The Old Savannah Distillery team and crafted to meet our exact standards.
Yes, The Old Savannah Distillery tasting room is a dedicated space where guests can sample our handcrafted spirits and signature cocktails. In this relaxed setting, you can choose from several curated experiences:
The Spirits Tastings Experience: A simple, affordable way to sample our core spirit lineup.
The Pairing Experience: A flight-style tasting paired with Southern small bites.
The Cocktail Class: A hands-on, 30-minute session led by expert storytellers.
We offer a fast-paced, 30-minute hands-on Cocktail Class led by professional storytellers. During this interactive session, you will learn to use proper bar tools and classic methods to build well-balanced drinks. Participants leave with new techniques and the confidence to recreate these original cocktails at home.
The term “moonshine” dates back to the 1500s. Still, the iteration we recognize today originated in 18th-century England, referring to the practice of making and distributing illicit spirits in secret, under the cover of darkness or the light of the moon, to avoid taxes and government bans. Traditionally, it refers to a highly potent, unaged whiskey made most commonly from a corn base. While historically produced illegally, today licensed commercial distilleries legally produce moonshine and offer it in a variety of flavored varieties, such as apple pie.
We serve elevated, casual Southern cuisine and classic Lowcountry comfort food. Our kitchen focuses heavily on coastal Georgia favorites, fresh local seafood, and hearty Southern staples—all perfectly crafted to pair beautifully with our hand-crafted spirits.
While everything on our menu celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the region, our absolute standouts include:
Our famous Fried Chicken and hand-cut Ribeye Steaks
Classic Shrimp & Grits and traditional Lowcountry Boils
Southern starters like crispy Fried Green Tomatoes and house-made Pimento Cheese
Premium seafood favorites, including our Fried Catfish and Salmon.
We serve both! You can join us for a casual lunch, mid-afternoon food pairings, or a full dinner experience after a day of exploring the historic district.
Yes, we do! While our kitchen is not entirely gluten-free, we offer several items that can be modified to accommodate gluten-free lifestyles, including gluten-free buns for our sandwiches and burgers. Because not every dish can be adapted and gluten is present in our kitchen, please chat with your server about your specific needs. We’ll always do our best to guide you toward a safe and delicious meal!
Absolutely! Our venue is a multi-functional facility featuring a sprawling tasting room, multiple craft bars, and dedicated private event spaces alongside our main dining rooms. Whether you’re arriving with a touring group or planning a private party, we have plenty of room for you! To ensure the best experience for your gathering, large groups and private events are required to book in advance through our Groups and Events Coordinator.
We keep things sweet and strictly Southern! Our kitchen loves to switch things up, so we features a rotating selection of daily desserts rather than a fixed menu. Be sure to save room and ask your server what scratch-made sweet treats we’re serving up today!
